For more than 20 years, the Helping Hands Ministry of Springfield Baptist Church has been providing food and clothing for the homeless in the Shaw Community.

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, The Helping Hands Ministry of Springfield Baptist Church provides a hot meal and clothing for more than 50 homeless and needy community residents.

Over 600 hot meals have been served in the year 2012. What a marvelous accomplishment!

There are many ways that you can be a part of this compassionate movement to help others. Please call the church office 202.234.0648. Mary Lane is the leader of this ministry, and the office staff will connect you to this great opportunity to serve God and the people who need our help.

This year the Helping Hands Ministry provided a special Thanksgiving Dinner. Through the generous donations of members and friends of Springfield Baptist Church more than 30 people were served hot Thanksgiving meals.
